Commercial terms

Subscription usage terms

This page summarizes core commercial usage terms for demos and proposals. Final legal terms are governed by the signed order form, subscription agreement, and any approved addenda.

Subscription packs and named seats

Each ScaleShift Books pack includes a fixed number of named, role-based user accounts. Accounts are assigned to one person and one role. Sharing a login across multiple people, rotating one account between staff, or creating extra accounts beyond the subscribed role limits is not permitted.

Additional seats and upgrades

Additional users require a written commercial add-on or a pack upgrade. Pending invitations may reserve seats until accepted, expired, or cancelled. ScaleShift may disable excess accounts if an organization exceeds the subscribed seat limits.

Working papers and integrations

GST, TDS, e-invoice, e-way bill, and other statutory surfaces may generate working papers and export-ready records. Live filing or government-portal submission requires an approved provider or customer-controlled integration where applicable. Provider fees may be billed separately.

Customer responsibility

Customers remain responsible for reviewing business data, tax positions, filings, payroll outputs, and statutory submissions with their internal team or professional adviser before final use.

In short: one person, one named account, one assigned role. Pack-wise role limits are enforced in Team Setup, and extra accounts require upgrade or written commercial approval.
